ePLATFORMS

I have work with same employee now more than 7 years. My current position is Senior business process owner, so instead of leading people (which I did before) now I’m leading the processes. No matter what my role is in the company I always need to keep in mind, how I speak about our employer in public.

Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn

I’m quite active user of Instagram and Facebook, but I try to keep my work out of there. If I’m talking about work or taking some pictures from the office, I won’t mention my employer. What comes more to work, in Linked In there are quite a lot information of my professional background and there I like articles about our company. Also have shared some when we are hiring.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp then again are something I’m using my daily working life. I do have work phone and we are using WhatsApp for example if there is emergency situations. For example, internet is not working at the office. During the pandemic WhatsApp was more used since then situations changed so fast and often.

Skype and Teams

Skype and Teams are heavily used in our company. Besides Outlook those two are first thing new employee needs to have. Depending on the role in company people might have different accesses to different tools inside the bank, but Skype and / or Teams is something that everyone uses daily. In my daily work I’m using Teams more and more everyday. First it kind of replaced Skype as a being contacting tool, but nowadays its much more than that. I’m storing information and materials there, building and updating Kanban boards and having different kinds of groups chats. Still not all my colleagues uses Teams, but I think that it has brought so much more possibilities to my work than only listed as communication channel.

Self evaluation

Those e-platforms that I’m using, I’m good at. Though there are some platforms I’m not using at all and I should learn. For example Twitter would be good to use already because of my employer and the market situations, but yet I haven’t felt that I have to. If something won’t interest me in personal level, it’s not that easy for me to start to use that platform. In work we have new tools time to time, which I need to start to use. For example Teams was one of those. In the beginning it seems to be a hard to learn but after that first push I’m glad I started to use that instead of Skype. Teams gives me much more possibilities and don’t even use Skype anymore.
